This has the tools to make you a better player.i love it!

An awesome app that would be over the top if I could email a PGN file of a position. If I play 30 moves deep and want to study it later, I have to first replay the game in another software.

Easy to use!

My comfiest impression is that it has a lot of potential . As I work with his more ,I hope to find more uses than I have at this point. Still a good find for myself.

I am a USCF master, and I find it helpful for all the sidelines outside my main lines. Broadens my repertoire.

My version closes down automatically once I am done with the opening. The prompt says that I can continue the game but it simply closes the application . I do not know if it is a defect in my version or overall glitch in the program.

This is a terrible implementation. As soon as you are out of the opening book it crashes.

This app seems to crash after going over openings. I would give it a 4 star... Only when fixed. It would get 5 stars if an analysis engine was present.

Lets me play thru any of many thousands of openings; and, to look them up by 1) name 2) ECO or 3) typing e4 e5 c3 etc. Every opening has hundreds of variations to learn from. I have had zero crashes on iPhone 4 (original) w iOs 5. Thanks for great app!

If you want to spend time learning and studying openings, you have to have this app. It is truly amazing. After you finish the opening moves, you can continue by playing against the computer (you can adjust the playing strength of the computer). Learn and enjoy!

I had a problem with occasional crashes so I wrote developer an email and got a response within the hour. He identified the problem and sent a fix to apple. In 24 hours problem was resolved. If only all apps could have such excellent support!

Great way to improve your openings on the go

First it was the crashing,they fixed it now it wont let me make certain moves, for no reason, frustrating

I got this hoping to get better with my openings. It has tons of them and I like how it warns you if you deviate from the book and gives you a hint as to the right book move, but also allows playing outside the book if you want to. I like how it doesnt freeze the game and not allow you to backtrack if you blunder into a checkmate like another expensive chess app I bought does. Hard to learn from your mistakes if you cant back up the moves when the game is over.

Excellent product & love feature that allows switch to playing vs computer for middlegame.
